The WP10 engine boasts high low-speed torque, providing powerful propulsion for complex road conditions and heavy-load climbing. For example, when transporting construction materials on steep slopes in mountainous areas, the WP10 engine's powerful low-speed torque allows the vehicle to easily climb, reducing gear shifting, improving transport efficiency, and preventing stalls caused by insufficient power. Power output ranges from 240 to 375 horsepower to meet the diverse power needs of different users and operating conditions. Small construction teams undertaking short-distance, low-load earthmoving work can choose a lower-horsepower version to control costs. Large mines transporting large quantities of ore can choose a higher-horsepower version to ensure high-speed travel under heavy loads, ensuring efficient transport tasks.
The Fast transmission's unique high-slung, fine-tooth design provides a gear mesh overlap greater than 2, enhancing mesh strength and torque transmission capacity. Combined with the Hande Steyr drive axle, the vehicle's overall transmission efficiency is higher. This means engine power can be more effectively transmitted to the wheels, reducing power loss, improving vehicle performance and fuel efficiency, and enabling efficient operation in all road conditions.
The WP10 engine is equipped with the latest Bosch high-pressure common rail system and built-in EGR technology. An intelligent ECU precisely controls fuel injection, achieving injection pressures as high as 1600 bar. This significantly improves fuel atomization and ensures complete diesel combustion. This significantly reduces fuel consumption during daily operations. For example, in long-distance coal transport, it can achieve a significant fuel cost savings compared to similar engines. This is complemented by a multi-power fuel-saving switch, a water-removing filter, a fuel-saving thermostatic fan, and advanced cylinder deactivation technology to further enhance fuel efficiency. During unloaded return trips, the multi-power fuel-saving switch adjusts the engine operating mode to reduce fuel injection. Cylinder deactivation technology deactivates some cylinders under specific operating conditions, minimizing energy waste and improving combustion efficiency by 10%.
The Fast transmission utilizes a world-leading dual-countershaft structure for both main and auxiliary gearboxes. This design reduces gear stress by 50%, bearing only half the load, significantly improving transmission reliability. In the frequent gear-shifting environments of construction sites, this effectively reduces gear wear, extends transmission life, and reduces maintenance costs. With distinct forward and reverse gears, a narrow ratio step, and a wide ratio range, the Fast transmission precisely matches the WP10 engine's power output. During acceleration, selecting a suitable low gear maximizes engine torque. At high speeds, shifting to a high gear ensures smooth operation while reducing engine speed and conserving fuel. This balance of fuel economy and power is highly adaptable to complex operating conditions.
